We’re in Thailand again and after spending a few days in Bangkok we’re heading south for a bit of island hopping.
The last time I was in Bangkok I didn’t get to visit the grand palace despite trying several times. So this time I will ignore all the tuk-tuk drivers and random people giving me mis-information in an attempt to lead me astray.
Anna has gone to Kuala Lumpur for about a week to have something done to her teeth so I’m going to find somewhere quiet to relax for a little while. For this I have travelled south from Bangkok to a place called Krabi town and from here there is access via a selection of boats to several nearby islands. Some of the islands near here are great for drinking and all night parties, but this isn’t what I’m looking for. I want somewhere really quiet with as little people as possible. And I’ve found the perfect place.
Koh Jum is a tiny island. There’s a few guest houses and beach huts but they are really spaced out and the beaches are excellent. I found a really nice beach hut for the very reasonable price of 400 baht a night.
I’m now meeting back up with Anna on the much larger island of Koh Lanta. There’s a lot more of everything on this island, and it’s a lot busier.
And finally we have ended up on the island of Koh Lipe. For some unknown reason, this island seems to be significantly more expensive in every possible way. This annoyed me greatly; I have a big rant about this in my video. It just seems like everyone is trying to squeeze more and more money out of you.
